My name is Bjorn and I joined as a Trustee in May 2022. Our eldest son, Ben was diagnosed with CdLS at birth back in 2012, and ever since we have attended many of the conferences and obtained fantastic support from the charity throughout this time.

Personally for me, becoming a Trustee is about giving back and helping other families like the charity has done for us. What is clear is that every family’s journey is different - from diagnosis, care needs and access to local experienced professional and experts, and I want to be able to share our experiences over the last 10 years to support other families.

Outside of CdLS, I am married to Jules and have another son Charlie, who is a fantastic brother to Ben! We live in the South East in-between London and Brighton close to Gatwick Airport. I work at Canon Europe as a Service Operations Director but in my spare time, I also get involved in property development, with a longer-term goal to provide affordable holiday lets for families with special and specific needs. I love the outdoors and specifically cycling, walking and unwind by going to the gym or attempting to play the piano!
