» Dr Jane Waite

Jane Waite is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow and Clinical Psychologist at the Cerebra Centre for Neurodevelopmental Disorders, University of Birmingham. Jane completed her PhD in the behavioural phenotype of Rubinstein-Taybi syndrome, and then continued her research into rare genetic syndromes including Cornelia de Lange, Williams, Kleefstra, Lowe and Biedl Bardet syndromes.  Jane has also worked extensively on online resources (Further Inform Neurogenetic Disorders (FIND); www.findresources.co.uk) with the aim of improving knowledge exchange between families and professionals.  Jane’s research interests are the development of cognitive skills, anxiety, and behaviours such as temper-outbursts and repetitive behaviours.
