The CdLS Foundation UK and Ireland currently has 7 Regional Volunteers who are parents, relatives or carers providing a local point of contact. Their role is to improve the support we offer our families.
Regional Volunteers are asked to:
- Promote awareness of CdLS in their region
- Liaise with local families
- Coordinate or arrange gatherings/fundraising
- Keep the Office Administrator updated and informed of new information and fundraising
- Be proactive by encouraging families with similar needs / issues to link up
- Build up knowledge of the local professionals and impart relevant information to families
- Ensure families are signposted to appropriate professionals or forthcoming conferences
- Ensure all fundraising monies are paid to the CdLS Foundation via ‘Just giving’ or by liaising with the Office Administrator.
- Feedback to the board of trustees (via Charles) to help improve support we offer families
- Maintain confidentiality
To find and contact a Regional Volunteer email info@cdls.org.uk, adding the subject line "Contact Request for (county name or geographical region)."
