» Dr Laura Groves

Dr Laura Groves is a Trainee Clinical Psychologist at the University of Leicester and an Honorary Research Associate at the Cerebra Network for Neurodevelopmental Disorders, University of Birmingham. Laura completed a PhD on ‘The Behavioural Phenotype of Cornelia de Lange Syndrome’ at the University of Birmingham focusing specifically on mental health difficulties (including anxiety) and changes with age. Whilst undertaking her clinical training, Laura continues to have a strong interest in behaviour and mental health in rare syndromes associated with intellectual disabilities, including Cornelia de Lange Syndrome. She is currently leading, alongside Dr Caroline Richards, on the development of a novel preventative intervention programme for challenging behaviour.
