» Regional Volunteers

The CdLS Foundation UK and Ireland currently has 8 Regional Volunteers who are parents, relatives or carers providing a local point of contact. Their role is to improve the support we offer our families.

Regional Volunteers are asked to:

  • Promote awareness of CdLS in their region
  • Liaise with local families
  • Coordinate or arrange gatherings/fundraising
  • Keep the General Manager updated and informed of new information and fundraising
  • Be proactive by encouraging families with similar needs / issues to link up
  • Build up knowledge of the local professionals and impart relevant information to families
  • Ensure families are signposted to appropriate professionals or forthcoming conferences
  • Ensure all fundraising monies are paid to the CdLS Foundation via ‘Just giving’ or by liaising with the General Manager.
  • Feedback to the board of trustees (via Rachel) to help improve support we offer families
  • Maintain confidentiality
